Qualifications
Required –
MS in Mechanical Eng (or related science or engineering degree e.g. Vehicle Engineering, Aerospace Eng, Physics, etc.) or BS with 2 years work experience Solid background in finite element analysis and reliability design
Experienced in using FEA software such as Abaqus, Nastran
Strong skill in using pre-processor tool such as Hypermesh, Ansa
Fluent in English with clear verbal and written communication skills
Strong technical and analytical skills
Demonstrated motivation and teamwork
Desired –
Experienced in thermal-stress analysis
Knowledge in vibration theory, modal analysis, and fatigue testing
Experienced in product health analysis
Knowledge of engine and machine cooling and aftertreatment systems Knowledge of Pro/E and design practices
Project management skills
Responsibilities
Primary –
Responsible for cooling and aftertreatment products reliability design based on FEA analysis and lab tests (e.g. vibration test, thermal cycle and pressure cycle tests) on components.
The analyst must explain the analysis assumptions, limitations, and results and provide value added input to the design engineers.
Develop FEA model and use FEA software to conduct static and dynamic stress analysis, modal analysis, and thermal-stress analysis.
Support investigations into product structural failures during product development and field use.
Secondary –
Mentor other analysts
Perform analysis to assist in the resolution of all component failures (CPI issues)
Develop new or improved analysis tools and techniques per team analysis MGPP
